@specialkone, I would appreciate it if you would quit posting false information. If you can read, you could click the System Specs at the bottom of any of my posts and realize that I have a 980 Classified and not a 970. If you are going to post, at least get the information right.

You and essenbe got that right. I know what those specs (yours being a bit higher) can do, which is put a smile on your face every day. With your 1080 hitting 8K plus in benchmarks like Time Spy, and your I7 7700K hitting over 6K, I think you got a match made in heaven. Nice job Mr. Mike.

Look at these Steam stats. These aren't only top end hardware guys, these are Steam gamers, who I believe still run mostly at 1080P although 1440p is moving up. They are dropping the most popular GPU (essenbe's 970 } big time, likely for Pascal, as the GPU approaching 970 popularity is the Pascal 1060. But all the Pascals up to 1080 are steadily moving up with Steam gamers. Will likely see more of this with the recent price drops. 1080TI of course, too new.

That's pretty Accurate i would imagine not Essenbe's GPU but the Steam info though

I will have you know that my 980 still has plenty of life left in it. It may not keep up in benchmarks too well, but I don't own a game that will stress it out. It still managed to get 65-80 FPS in SGW, which surprised me.

I'm sure it can handle a lot of games (not all) at minimum 65. But you have a 144HZ 1080P monitor, I thought. So a bit of a mismatch there. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but your hardware specs are incomplete "an Asus Monitor".

Let's post a few more FACTS from what every day gamers are doing. Let's see, the 980, also declining, is struggling to stay slightly above my ex 770 KEPLERS .

Let's see where the 980TI is going. Oh look, declining as well with gamers and struggling to stay above the AMD 7800 series . I'm sure these knowledgeable gamers also know Maxwell can handle "some" games depending on graphic selection, at 60HZ. Crazy guys, just seem to want something better and more fun.

Yes, I guess you are right. I should be upset that I will have problems playing some games I don't own and will never play. If I wanted them I would already own them. So, yes I lay awake at night worrying about games I'll have trouble playing even though I have no intention of trying.

If it does what you bought it for(and knowing you a bit more), it's not lazy Doug.

It's just out of breath when you get done with it

Yes I was talking of gamers, not those who have no intention of enjoying the latest games and their features. BTW, SGW3, although fun, has such an old game engine and limited graphic options, Nvidia hasn't even bothered to include optimal graphic settings for it in GFE.

I downloaded Passmark's Monitor test, today, to see if I can use it to calibrate my new 4K this weekend.
It's a trial version, so I'll wait until I have more than enough time to do it.
