Did you see that GPU? The video Cliff posted gives a great perspective on the size of it. And in that video I basically saw 1440P and games delivering 144+ FPS, which Worf is ready for.

Worf; don't forget the Firestorm issue mentioned in that video. Also, I hope you are bringing your lunch to work tomorrow. That's the excuse those darn coworkers will use if they can. "You were out to lunch when it was delivered".

Only a little bigger than my Zotac GTX 1070 amp extreme. Ready for firestorm. Lucky I never go out for lunch at work as not enough time.

Great news, Worf. Congratulations, I know you will fill up my inbox with benchmarks. Take good care of Nessie. It's a real monster.

The title of the Gamers Nexus review tells the story quickly of Steve Burke's view of no not FTW3 but Pascal in general. "EVGA 1080TI FTW 3 Review HELD BACK BY PASCAL"

I remember seeing him in a video interviewing Nvidia when Pascal (1080) first came out. Right away he said "with restrictions on power and voltage and GPU boost 3.0 you have taken my livelihood away. What is there to overclock with Pascal?" LOL.

He seemed totally bored with the review. "All there is to talk about with different TI's is thermals and noise thanks to Nvidia's limitations on Pascal". Did you see him blow by the overclocking part? Faster than Bjorn3D I think. I had to pause the video on the one quick OC slide. What did he hit with the FTW3? 2025MHZ?

Dude might have Lidia slap me again, but I'm still going to say, ok ocing may be limited on Pascal, maybe more so with the TI's. There is still some OC fun to be had. What's most important to me? Are you seeing how these high end AIB TI's are performing out of the box? I saw in that review the FTW 3 hitting a MINIMUM FPS in Doom at 4K of around 80 FPS. Finally 4k gaming is making sense and 1440P is worry free at any refresh rate.

BTW Blackrose, did you notice the quick shot Steve Burke took at the 1080TI FE cooling?

I agree @specialkone. My take on it was much shorter and simpler than yours. It doesn't matter which version or brand you buy, they're all the same, thanks to Pascal. There is absolutely nothing any of the AIB manufacturers can do to change the restrictions Nvidia put on the chip.

OTOH, with the power these cards have out of the box, there are probably no games at any resolution that will suffer in the performance department.

Now, on to finding a modded BIOS and read up on the shunt mod.

Hahaha yep, sure did. Totally justified in it too. Forgot to activate my custom curve last night and the card got up to 87c. Seriously thinking about grabbing a hybrid kit to throw on it in the next couple of months.
