Have to replace my Gigabyte Z170X Gaming GT board as I've been having all sorts of weird issues with it and need to RMA itThat also sucks because I was planning on selling it with the 6700K CPU to a friend.
With that, it gave me the excuse to get that Gigabyte Z270X Gaming 8 board I've been eying, along with that 7700K CPU. The 7700K was somewhat an afterthought but...
Anyway I got both board and CPU in a bundled deal from Micro Center. They take 30 bucks off any motherboard as long as you purchase a CPU with them. Did that with the Z170 & 6700K. Saves money, plus Micro Center tends to sell their mainstream processors cheaper than anyone else. They're currently selling the Intel i7-7700K for $299.99; but it's in-store pickup only.
So, now I'm off to setting up the new board and doing a clean install of 10. Will post pics once done.
Until then...
Oh... And no, I'm not scared off by Gigabyte, stuff happens. I'll just RMA the board and discount the sell price. Done.

I know they were mentioning length of the card because it pushes cables around and sometime won't even fit the case
The Gigabyte cards to me have been the biggest i've delt with all the others were about 10.5 11 now 11.5 and up
