I bet that this Friday date for stock will be put back and back until end of the month. The buyer of my 1070 is OK with all this so am lucky that way.
That card should be a beast

    You got that right.

Normal stuff, Worf, having to wait for newest generation hardware. Same happened to me at 1080 release. While waiting, perhaps spend your time thinking about when you will hit the 10K mark in Time Spy.

No more 7K scores for you.

GPU-z is updating as often as nvidia gpu drivers, they`re taking all the fun out of creating images

Hey, CountMike, you might have another option to consider. Nvidia GT 1030 - 1040, mid May.

I'll definitively look at all the options in a month or so. Due to holidays my order for MB is pushed back by a week and still no 1600x on sale here. Other a bit lesser problem is adapter for my CM Nepton 140XL cooler coming at beginning of May.

With the release of 1080TI and Titan XP a number of websites are now telling us we are at EOL on our GPU's. That's LOL to me.

So now comes Nvidia Volta talk for Q3 2017. IF it is to be GDDR5X and not HBM2 I would be somewhat disappointed.

On the other hand, I could do this: Flash your Radeon RX 470 or RX 480 cards to get next-generation performance
    to this:
