At the end of the day, if the end user is satisfied..that's all that matters.

I am certain I have spent money on parts my wife would have said were totally unnecessary. My son has way more PC than he needs.

It should be an awesome gaming card. I would recommend worrying less about benchmarking it and more time playing some killer games maxed out.

Yeah, I'm too poor to get a 4k monitor. My son is using a U2415 Dell, which is 1920x1080.

I'll likely go 4k when I build myself a new computer. But unsure when that will be, as I just had to drop $7k on a new roof for my house.

I could hear you now.... just give me the basics. I don't need any of that flashy stuff

Oh, and don't be surprised when son gets a taste of the high end and starts building PC's with fancy cases and water blocks and stuff. You'll be like I fought this over at ten forums and now it's in my house

Sounds about right. On the other hand though, dealing with the roof is something that I don't want to deal with again. So, I went with nicer shingles, I did more ice damn than what was required, I did better underlayment, and I have a transferrable warranty that includes inspections every 5 years with replacement of anything showing any wear. If nothing else, it just gives me a nice thing to offer to a potential buyer which might get me an offer.

He might get that bug. He already has an RGB mechanical keyboard, an RGB mouse, and I recently got him some RGB LED strips that we have mounted around his desk to give him ambient lighting.

He is a funny kid, he always wants stuff, but when it comes time to lay down his money, he decides that maybe he doesn't need it after all :)

As a father of adult daughters it still never stops. They always want until they have to pony up their own money

Glad to see you didn't skimp on the roof. That's your cover :)
