Yes, I had corsair fans I was using but they were loud when I crank them up. And two Noctua fans are half the price of an AIO
You have that right, my friend.

At 1200RPM fixed I hardly hear them at all. With my oc for 4.8 I went up to a max vc of 1.38. Running Firestrike, the max peak CPU temp was 71. I don't know what difference in CPU temp I would get with the fans turned way up. Maybe next time I'll try it.

    Figured you would know, thanks.

For my "non extreme" oc adventures, and max 71 temp levels, it doesn't make much of a difference then.

I guess Corsair must have noticed my system specs with many Corsair products. They gave me 3 new fans.

    Attachment 126262

Problem is they are "virtual" fans caused by the "new and Improved" 4.6.086 software. 1 and 5, 2 and 6 and 3 and 7 are the same fans.

You may want to avoid 4.6.086 .
    Mine is correct

3GHZ! Man, impressive. Well the good news is if Doorules and Vellinious show up with some iteration of a 1080TI, I'll still be in 6th place on the Time Spy table. .

However, I'm thinking Dude's "quiet frustration" will soon get to him and he will be showing scores near the top, thanks to much better graphic scores.

Ya, it's happening to some, not others, but I do see more reporting it on the Corsair forum. I haven't figured out what the commonality is for the issue. But look at this guy with MB similar to mine - same issue.

I like the "software engineer's" response to that. "Better to have too many fans showing than too few" .

    Do you hear that OldMike?

Yep, 3 GHz will out drag a Chevrolet. That's fast. I wonder what it scores on Time Spy? :)

I've been talking to @Dude and convincing him to get a TI. If he does, he will be hard to beat. I hear EVGA is coming out with a new model called "Dude's TI"

Corsair has had problems with that darn program ever since it came out. It's a royal pain and always has been. If they haven't fixed it by now, it won't get fixed. Someone should ask their "engineer" how much air does a phantom fan put out.
