With that MB, it only takes 1.3V to OC that I7 7700K to a stable 4.9 GHZ. Sweet. I can see you will be climbing up on those benchmark tables. Nice going, dude.

The batch numbers starting with F977 or L639 seem to be really good clockers so far with the 7700K. Not to say others won't be but these seem to be doing very well Dude.

Look forward to seeing some high clocks on the new rig

Yep, no difference for gaming. I've seen that before with the next generation CPU. Kinda happy about that as CPU typically doesn't become obsolete as quickly as GPU for gaming. Think they mentioned just under a 6% improvement in benchmarks - Time Spy, etc.

And data like that is why I don't OC this setup for gaming. Don't need to at 1080P, which was my objective when building this rig.

But there is that nasty HFTS .
The only real reason to switch to Kaby Lake is Optane. It's just a waste of money to upgrade from Skylake to Kaby Lake if you're not gonna use the new features of the newer ones.

Thanks guys, part two (CPU) arrived today. @doorules only hit the first two digits out of those batch numbers. @essenbe I included the ROG coaster just for you, since that was the perk that made you want to get another MB

Team ROG = Tweaker's Paradise. Dude in Tweaker's Paradise could be dangerous. Anyone who lives within 5 miles of him,, if you don't have a bomb shelter, I suggest you move.
