I guess we aren't surprised this is starting to happen, are we CountMike.
Inno3D Warns that mining can break Warranty on their GPUs
Interesting to me is the part where Nvidia once said under daily heavy gaming, their GPU is expected to last 5 years. Before dude says why would that be interesting to a guy who changes his hardware so quickly he changes a 1080 for a 1080 TI, my thoughts are OMG are we going to have to see dude's 7001 Time Spy score until 2022.
What's more Interesting, is AMD said they were trying to package their cards so the miners wouldn't/couldn't buy them. Then, according to JayZ, AMD just came out with a beta driver for miners.
Rumor also has it that they raised the price. According to some guy at OC UK, the price was an "introductory" price with a discount. Now the discount is over. I guess that could be AMD trying to pull a fast one on everybody or it could be a retailer trying to make a few extra bucks. Either way, you can't buy one and if you can it will not be at the announced price.
When selling used GPUs many are making a point that it wasn't used for mining. Small miners tend to take care of their cards but for large ones it's just an investment and probably wouldn't even bother with warranty.
Mfgs, should put a time counter like on disk drives. take that time, divide by 24 since it was made and you'd get a good idea what it was used for. Unless deal was 10c on a $, i wouldn't by a card used for mining.
Kidding aside for just a second, everything ok with you dude?

Pretty confusing indeed, JayZ. Is it retailers, e traders, manufacturers or all of them increasing the price? A miner optimized driver LOL. Pretty soon we will see benchmarks for miners.
I will say that when I bought this Asus 1080 TI I was able to negotiate the price down to the lowest on line price I saw. Had a friend very recently approach the same retailer who told him the GPU's are out of stock and they could order one but it would be $70 more than what I paid. Don't know if that has anything to do with mining demand. Makes me wonder what specific GPU's are these miners going after. Vega it seems but on the Nvidia side is it Pascal 1080's, 1080TI's or even dude's 1070 or all of them. Maybe we do need to see a mining benchmark.
