2017 Hardware Thread

Any good ideas what to do with this old server:

I took me all night to clean this thing as it was in our bottom warehouse for years.

Yes! Donate it to me!

Fill it with BIG HDDs and add more RAM and you have a really good file server. If you are into Virtual machines, then you could use it as a VM host. Maybe make it a deployment server, or make it a database, compiling and source control host if you are into software development.

I can come up with many uses for it, that I would need right at this moment. :)

You are very welcome!

If none of the things I mentioned are for you, then maybe just dedicate it as a Windows Insider testing platform. Just make sure it has about 8-16GB RAM and it would be a good testing platform.

Just light gaming every once in awhile and benchmarking.

It may make a good media server too. Like Slicendice said, send it to me. I would use it.
