I have seen many match cache and core speed and have me scratching my head as to how they got it to work anyway though maybe this can help him out a little

With your oc i can understand dropping the cache of 400 mhz or more the core speed is Phenomenal !

Computer was running fine with the cache ratio set at x45 for both max and min ....have no problems. But I did drop them BOTH down to x44 ...just to test. Ran that Catzilla app, and it passed every test, but unless you BUY it, the tests kinda suck...

But I use speedstep so the system only draws what it needs.

Voltage was higher with coarser technology, I remember when processors were running at 3.3v and even 5v earlier on. It's wasted energy expended on heat that's a concern. It also puts more load on other components.

I still need to learn how to use the offset settings. But I like to check out many sources before trying something.

Well after some tweaking in the bios ....for the 5th time, in last hour, I got PerformanceTest to finally pass its Physics Test.
And having my Catch Ratio's both set at 45x
Still not happy....more tweaking ahead....

The CPU? The board? I need to experiment some more with the voltage now the OC has "settled", but at first when I was testing it, Cinebench would freeze the system up and I had to hard restart(I have a button for it) and a Catzilla would freeze when preparing to run the benchmark. Now it has settled, the temps are ok, but summer is coming and ambient temp is a lot warmer, so I either need to get the voltage down or run at a lower overclock.
