    Threw an old 450W PSU in to get it at least running and found my Windows key is not working. It's a start. No GPU at the moment though. Just integrated.

    In Win offers Aurora Fans that you can Daisy Chain

    In Win now has the Aurora Fans available. The thing is, you can Daisy Chain these fans. Previously all fans need to be connected towards a fan controller, your motherboard FAN headers or use y-split cables right? Well, here's something clever from In-win.

    Question for those who have a Ryzen 5/7 desktop. Do you guys like it or regret getting it? I'm on the fence over getting a Ryzen 5 or 7700K right now.

    Oh, my R5 1600x is doing just fine. Just needs a decent MB and RAM and it's flying time. At 4GHz easily beats 7700 at multitasking and is neck to neck at single thread even when 7700 is heavily OCed. R7 should run rampant at serious SW.
    Whatever you do, think only about X models, so much easier to set up to run full tilt. Only thing that's holding down Ryzen is immature BIOS most MBs have so OC is not very easy but that's improving every day. Of course, top tier MBs get problems saved first but it's trickling down the line.
    I see you have somewhat similar system I just upgraded from. I upgraded from Ga 990FXA-UD5 MB and FX 6350 at 4.8GHz and this Ryzen is real revelation. It's probably twice as fast.

    Do any of you Asus Z170 MB owners have the validated updated bios to fix the hyper threading bug? See below - Asus forum mod on July 16 said "soon". Don't know what soon means to him but my validated bios isn't up yet on the download site. I did hear that some are being posted for download today. Seems to me the Formula is usually the last.

    @specialkone

    I've had the 3401 since 3/31/17. I just looked and have a new one, 3504 since 8/11/17. This is for the ASUS Z170E !!
