Corsair is not only one of the most popular memory brands, but one of the most popular PC parts brand in the world so I wonder what impact that may have on those products. Even if the news story is false.

Kind of reminds me of OCZ, once I found they were getting bought out by Toshiba (they actually did), I moved from their SSD drives to Samsung. It's because of the buyout that Samsung has my business. My decision was based on worries about stability and quality. Hope this doesn't happen with Corsair.

Are you reading my mind, sygnus21? Look at the number of times you see "Corsair" in my computer specs.

Well the only Corsair products I swear by is their memory as I've been running it since 2007. I do have a couple of their Closed Loop Water coolers and have been using their first H100i since 2013, and their H115i since 2016. But it's their memory I really love. Just love the styling of their Dominator RAM modules...Click image for larger version.

I just did a search for Eagle Tree: EagleTree Capital | Delivering value through investments for over 20 years

    they have money!
Maybe Corsair will be able to invest in their manufacturing plants and in research even more.

And..... You will also be able to invest in Corsair now too

The real interesting stuff with Intel's new processor line seems to be in the server lineup

Hopefully they add some of the security goodies to future consumer CPU's.
I will take better security over raw power any day(within certain limits any how).

But in any case, servers using these should be safer to connect to, so our systems should be a bit safer.

I often use Corsair for power supplies. I'd use them for RAM, but I've had great experiences with G.Skill, so I tend to buy all G.skill memory. My son has a Corsair K65-RGB Lux mechanical keyboard and I really like that.

I have a Skylake build on the way for the wife. Look forward to this. Hopefully will earn some brownie points for my Ryzen system.
