How effective is it cooling wise?

Amway for me, now that I'm on a new board that doesn't have my 950 Pro sitting under my dual slot GPU, my temps went from 49/50ish to 44 Celsius. Much happy about that.

That said, I'm wondering if it'll clear a dual slot GPU if the drive it siting under it?

The total height once installed in to the M.2 slot is lower than the height of the PCIe slot its self.

Just a note, when the chassis fans are all set to whisper quiet the 950 Pro idle temps are a few degrees higher than usual as the heatsink is adsorbing the ambient heat around that area and holding it until the air flow increases to remove that said heat.

    However I have found this:

    and this:

Looks as if the first one was taking after either game play or benchmark and has begun to cool down and the bottom one is idle. Can't remember.

I hav ejust taking this and today has been hot with no breeze and room is very warm. System been on for a few hours in this situation.

35 degrees Celsius is a dam good temp for a Samsung 950. Mine runs at 44, which is down from 49/50ish.

What was it before the heat sink install? And how high does it ramp up when benching?

They seem to do it every 10 years, nothing to get excited over. It`s still just an AMD.
Yeah, but a handful of years ago, AMD was spanking Intel with the Athlon 64 X2, before the Intel Core series came to be.

That was before AMD bought ATI then had to sell their Foundry wasn't it?

Is it me or has the price of computer components gone up? I know RAM is more expensive, and it seems like video cards have risen in price in the nearly 1 year since I bought my son's parts. Seems like GTX 1070's are hard to find now, where they used to be about $400.

I just priced out a handful of parts and it came out to about $1,800, which is more than I want to spend right now.
