    This is the exact same EVGA ACX (my GPU) issue. I'm hoping the solution is a proper thermal pad mod. Steve Burke's quick fix on the Zotac wasn't the best. Look at the VRM heat drop on the EVGA 1080 with a proper thermal mod:

    The VRM temps on that Zotac are terrible, just like the original EVGA ACX cards. I'd be protecting Nessie if I were you, Worf. Nessie to me is that Nvidia chip you have. I have my doubts the majority of the other Amp Extreme cards perform the way Nessie does. RMA your card and you lose Nessie. I'd be taking it easy on the overclocks until Zotac comes up with a solution.

    BTW, anyone other than me notice Steve Burke mentioning Asus with their Strix provides the best air cooling solution of all the 1080 TI AIB's? That IMHO "arrogant poor customer service" partner typically gets it right the first time.
