@specialkone, Yea, I do take a chance with their motherboards. I may with their GPUs too, but GPUs usually are a lot more money.

I have tried overclocking with AB, but for some reason, it just won't OC as well as XOC on this card. If I want OSD, I usually set the fan speed I want and the OC in XOC. Then close it. The system remembers what I put in. I open AB and it shows the OC and leave it open and will have the OSD. I agree, that shouldn't be necessary, but it isn't a whole lot of trouble and it works for me. With my 980, everything worked but I couldn't OC for crap with XOC, AB did a good job. It seems XOC is made for Pascal now and doesn't work real well on older versions is my guess. I never OC my card while gaming. I guess I would if needed, but don't need to. Plus, I guess I'm not as big a gamer as some of you guys are. I seem to not have the time any more.

I've been trying to game a little more recently to relieve stress. It used to work. Now days, with some of the games I have, the games create as much stress as everything else does. :) Maybe because I'm not any good, you think.
Ya, that's too much trouble for me with the OSD. Shouldn't be like that. And no, I don't OC for gaming either.

My biggest concerns have moved to your comments on gaming. :). The "stress"/excitement is with on line leagues. I belong to a couple. Single player/campaign is all about fun and stress relief, going at your own pace in your kind of game. Plus with that fine GPU you have (minus the XOC server software) you can enjoy the full blown Ultra scenery in games like GRW. Just driving around is relaxing, fun and spectacular.

In any game, you can use the easy difficulty and enjoy. And yes the type of game matters. In sniper games, as soon as you are detected it's often "game over" and you start again. This can be more than frustrating. I also like sims, flight, driving, etc.

None of this applies to dude of course. . The guy who overclocks his watch brings those personality traits to games I'm sure. He will be doing every mission as quickly as possible, timing himself, making sure he has received every achievement and reward and likely counts the number of times he has died in game. So if you're getting any advice from dude on gaming technique, no wonder you're stressed.

@specialkone, the truth is that @Dude should be renamed to Master Gamer Dude. Most of us are satisfied to just play and beat a game. Some of us feel the need to beat it on the hardest difficulty. Not Dude. He has to complete every side mission, win every accomplishment, every achievement and every badge. He's recently gotten very absorbed in the games.

I used to talk to Dude on Skype almost every day, sometimes for several hours at a time. Lately I am lucky if I hear from him every couple of weeks. Even then it's just for 5 minutes. We can be talking and I'll ask him a question. Dead silence. He will usually answer in 3 or 4 days. It has seriously deflated my ego. I have been worried that I may have said something to offend him. But, then I hear from him and he says he has been gaming a lot. I mean really? For 2 weeks solid? Is that even possible? The fact that I have been shunned by the Master Gamer Dude is the cause of much of my stress level. So, I try to game to reduce my stress level. Because I can't keep up with him creates more stress in my life, so I figure I am going to have to sell my 1080 TI, my CPU and Motherboard and buy an iPad just to keep the stress level down. I'm just debating on whether to get an iPad or an android tablet. That way I can't game any more and the fact that I can't keep up with the Master Gamer won't create any stress. Maybe I can get him to tell me how to overclock an Android tablet.

Well I for one am very pleased dude is gaming a lot. Keeps him out of trouble, I'm sure.

Must be that unbreakable 7001 Time Spy score that has him focused on much more fun and rewarding hobbies.

Why is everybody saying Lock and load ? Doesn't make sense. Why lock an empty weapon ? And what's even worse, most of them you can't load when they are locked.

I think he hit 7001 (still on the board - see below) and then even with his skills he managed to get to 7000.

That's when he started SGW3 and moved onto Medal Gear Solid V. I have no issues with that except that he no longer posts OSD game videos which I always like to see, yes even with his GPU.
