    Nice choice in graphics cards.
    You need a new monitor?
How about 3 new ones, with that card.
    I mean a 3-way 8K setup

My lowly GTX 1080 AERO 8GB OC, doesn't even change a little bit, when running GPU-Z's render test, and switching between my 1080p and my 4K, so it has horsepower.(and I don't game either, but my virtual machines are monsters).
Thanks Cliff, should have that beast by end of the week.

Crap, I'm gonna have to lower my daily over clock for my CPU this weekend

The weather is finally warming up here, and the ambient temps of course, too.
Today is only 25C(73F) and my CPU package is idling around 40, the individual cores are mid 30's, but... you know.

An my VRM's do not have temp sensors, so I might try 4.5GHz for the daily, at least I'll be able to drop Vcore down to default, then, I believe.

But come the cold in autumn, I'm cranking it back up

It's jumping around between 2500 and 4900 MHz.
When truly idle, it goes down as far as 800MHz.

What did you have before you got the 1600X? How are you finding its performance so far?

I had FX 6350 at 4.8GHz and with all this troubles this one is still much faster at stock 3.7 - 4.1GHz. Cinebench for instance, 2+ times faster single thread and almost twice the multi thread performance. It has two step turbo mode, one with 4 (at about 4GHZ) cores and higher one (4.1GHz) 2 core mode but without OCing all cores I don't know what end result will and can be. RAM stuck at 2133MHz doesn't help either.
