Well not being as rich as some of you guys...LoL I am only getting the
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 with 11GHz GDDR5X Memory Card, but its not available right now, so Evga will notify me when I can get this baby. Looks like near the end of this month, I am guessing.
    Attachment 134300

At any rate this card should be a lot better than the one I got now. :)
1080's is where the Bang for the Buck is right now 1080p 1440p you'll get at least 130 on games like Overwatch with Max settings i am getting close to 190fps on Epic mode with a TI so 1080 is still the best card out right now price and performance per dollar

1070's should be good too but falling behind it doesn't make sense to sli two 1070's anymore when you can grab 2 1080's about the same price Used/New

    1860MHz Boost Clock
    275.3GT/s Texture Fill Rate
    8192MB GDDR5X Memory

That card is better at Overclocking than TI's you can bring the memory all the way to +900 and still run

The Core on the 1080's is the limitation i heard people getting +200 core but i think that is Horsesh*t i tried many times to use +140 core with max power target and extra juice no go but the memory can get you there

EVGA is a good brand might clock better than Gigabyte but you can get a rocking score with just +120 core and +650 mem hell you might beat a few 1080's on the board too

Also you don't need extra voltage but should bring the power target and heat target to max if you do add voltage only add+25 you can easily get those numbers without over volting

Those were the good ole days Steve AMD had GPU's that ran like Stallions hopefully those days will be back
I recall i was so Pro AMD and that was when they had Phenom and then FX

I have to say though you guys convinced me to join the Darkside and have to say it felt Gooooooood !

Thank you for all the years of showing us the way Obi Wan Kenobi
Yea Tommy, we had a blast back then. You were already on the 'Dark Side', we just showed you how to leave it and join the good guys. The only reason you left AMD was because you got tired of losing. I remember you argued about how good AMD was until you tried Intel/Nvidia. You were shocked when you first switched. But we all had fun, didn't we/ We still do have a lot of fun.

You guys do recall Paul hating to get beat so much in CPU overclocking he fried his CPU just to beat me don't you. 2V through a 3770K doesn't work too well.

He told me that he had set 1.9V in BIOS. But when turbo kicked in, it took it to 2+V, as I recall.

The funny part is Intel replaced it.
@OldMike65, the 1080 is no slouch. It is a very strong card and what you get at it's price point is an excellent buy.
And the new specs with the ICX cooler will put you right where you need to be. here's no shame in that card you are looking at. It will do more than anything you will want to do. Nice buy. Cograts on an excellent card.

Thanks Steve, I think it will fit into my system pretty good. :)

You and essenbe got that right. I know what those specs (yours being a bit higher) can do, which is put a smile on your face every day. With your 1080 hitting 8K plus in benchmarks like Time Spy, and your I7 7700K hitting over 6K, I think you got a match made in heaven. Nice job Mr. Mike.

Look at these Steam stats. These aren't only top end hardware guys, these are Steam gamers, who I believe still run mostly at 1080P although 1440p is moving up. They are dropping the most popular GPU (essenbe's 970 } big time, likely for Pascal, as the GPU approaching 970 popularity is the Pascal 1060. But all the Pascals up to 1080 are steadily moving up with Steam gamers. Will likely see more of this with the recent price drops. 1080TI of course, too new.
