Mike the idea is to maximize what you have, not necessarily buy new stuff.
Lol. I already have it maximized.... to about +0 comparing to those top end cards.

So far, it seems to max out at 1987 on the core for me. Anything further than +145 on the core and Heaven crashes within seconds with d3d11 as the cause. Any more than +130 and GTA V randomly crashes.

Not a bad OC, but I was hoping to hit 2 Ghz. I guess I got spoiled by my 1080, which hit +250 with room to grow.
I think it's a bit hard to compare those 1080 numbers with 1080TI. I'll bet your FPS are up in games with that 1080TI FE. But it seems indeed with AIB 1080TI's you would be over 2000MHZ.

You guys are hurting my self estime. I'm just negotiating to swap my R7 260, 1GB for a R9 270x with 2GB by adding a small amount of money and you are talking about GPU that costs more than my whole new system.
To be fair, if it weren't for EVGA's Step Up program, I'd probably still be using a single GTX 970.

Oh yeah, framerates are absolutely up. I was playing GTA V earlier, completely maxed out (including grass on ultra), and only dropped below 100 FPS twice. I'm pretty happy about that.

CountMike; we are enthusiastic about PC hardware, period. Whatever one has or is thinking of purchasing or just purchased, we would appreciate comments, questions (where we can all search for answers) so we can all learn. I have friends with low/medium end systems always asking me questions so we are "counting" (excuse the pun) on you to let us know how your system performs for what you use it for.

Why are you thinking of comparing that R9 270X to the top of the line cards? 2GB way better than 1GB. Let us know what happens and how it is.

Tnx, I love watching you guys having (expensive) fun, I just can't justify that much money as I don't play those heavy games. Deal for swapping cards didn't happen, that guy is crazy. Asking 90 euro for 270 and giving me only 40 for mine. For 120 Euro I can get brand new Rx 460 with 4GB. Just waiting to find Rx 560 4GB and I'll go for it. It should be same price. My problem is that 260 is killing my benchmarks on new Ryzen system, it even drags my CPU scores down. Just too much of generation gap. Now I found another problem with it, looks like it's using only v1.1 PCIe while both MB and card are V3.0.

GPU bottlenecking CPU or vise versa not a good thing if that's happening. Not sure about PCIe 1.1 but think I saw that being asked somewhere else or this forum. I can tell you when I had the 1080 in the i7 980X setup (PCIe 2.0) there were zero issues. I don't think PCIe 2.0 was holding back this PCIe 3.0 capable card whatsoever.

If you are going for the RX 560 it is about time we saw some RX scores (and Ryzen) on the benchmark tables.

To see what BUS speed it really uses, click the question mark and start the 3D Render test.

I'm working on OCing Ryzen 1600x but scores are not going up much over stock, automatic overclock settings, 5 - 6% at most. Seems that it's boost features are pretty good and/or my RAM that wouldn't go over 2400MHz (although rated for 3000) is also holding it down. So, I'll have to wait either for new(and improved) BIOS or to find some RAM with Samsung "b" die as they are only ones working fine at 3200MHz on Ryzen as of now.

I sure hope @Dude doesn't see this conversation, it will hurt his feelings. I do hope he knows I tried to help him though.
I think Worf could have lots of fun DOWNCLOCKING his new GPU to see if he could get down to dude levels. Also, as you know , dude is constantly giving Slippery other people's higher scores. Something about dude pictures Slippery might have. Worf is a good guy. I'm sure he would be fine if dude once in awhile by mistake posted Worf's TI scores under the dude name.
