Hehe, that's usually why I scoff at the cost of the very high end cards. But then again, that's easy for me to do as i game at 1920x1200 at 60Hz on a single 24" display. But in 3 years time, all cards, even a TitanXP won't be at the top of the heap. It's a rat race to try to keep up with.

But in all seriousness, for those shooting for the stars to lead the benchmarks, my hat is off to you. It's very hard, time consuming and costly to achieve.

    No disagreements but...

If benching is all your system is about, then get the greatest parts available. But for those of us who don't view being number one on the bench list, there's nothing wrong with anything less than a Titan XP or whatever.

Anyway, as I reminded others, this is an enthusiast forum where performance PC's rule so....

I like that Guru3D review. It's a review of the Zotac 1080TI not the Titan XP. So it shows the Zotac OCed and how it was done and then shows it at stock and compares it to the stock results from the other GPU reviews.

I like seeing what the GPU does at AIB stock. Pretty impressive to see a 10258 Time Spy stock graphic score on a TI, and TI's being at a price similar to the original launch price of the 1080. What that's telling me is that this single GPU will blow through any game at 1440P and at any refresh rate. I'm sure dude (like me) is noticing the 138FPS in BF1 at 1440p. Amazing.

This GPU will take any game and any refresh rate at 1440P. It will also take whatever Nvidia throws at it like HFTS shadows or their new gameworks "fire". A card like this would make most (definitely gamers) happy for a long time. The synthetic benchmark numbers, to me, simply indicative of performance and fun to play with.

PS: I would also say at the other end, if you run at 60HZ, no need for a GPU this powerful unless you have 4K. I think Worf has it just right with this GPU and a new 1440P monitor that delivers up to 144HZ. NICE!

Watched that review earlier today on my lunch break, glad I've stuck with the Zotac GTX 1080 Ti Amp Extreme.

    Got that right.

And if EVGA takes much longer in getting their FTW 3 out to reviewers for performance tests, people will be cancelling orders not to wait for info about Vega/Volta, but to order this card instead.

Ok, Solarstarshines, that was a shot at EVGA this time. Sure, take your time and get it right. But like Nvidia's price strategy to get all the market dollars for 1080/1080TI before Vega comes out, EVGA risks losing TI dollars to AIB competitors if they wait much longer. Good thing EVGA has a loyal customer base.

I feel if you make people wait to long what was the point EVGA really looks bad because you have people who have done reviews on everything under the sun except EVGA

I'm sure some people already have opted for a refund and moved on to another Brand this situation with these guys make me want to stay far away and keep getting my cards from Gigabyte on time like they're supposed to be

The FTW3's started shipping Friday. The, or at least some of the, reviewers already have them. I still can't understand why you want to keep taking shots at them Tommy. It's not like they tried to pull one over on everyone. The first announcement said they would start shipping pre orders on May 1st. They started shipping April 28th. Everyone going in knew exactly what the deal was before anybody ordered. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. Besides, this has gone much better than the 1080 release did. And no, they are not using your money. They are not charging your CC until it ships.

Steve no one is taking shots i honestly have no issue with them i am just saying if people have not got one it's a shame

I'm looking at it from a Time scale not money from the Pocket the time it took for them to even get orders shipped they already announced something new next quarter like what ?

So again that is why i am blown they are taking as long as they are with this gpu but i guess good things come to those who wait

The announcing Volta next quarter is only a rumor, and an unlikely one in my opinion. If they were to announce it, that would probably be for the industrial versions. It would be 6 months before they got mainstream out to the street. 6 months is about the best you can expect in any case. By then there is always something bigger, better or faster coming out. It always happens.
