    Intel prepares Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X


    According to Digitimes, Intel is preparing to launch their next gen high-end processors in Q3 2017, which is most likely at Gamescom during August in Germany. Price range could be NT$15,000 to NT$57,000, that's $468 to $1,780 US dollars. Both types of cpus will run on 2066 with X299 chipset.

    Intel next-generation top-end CPU platforms ready for 3Q17

    Intel is planning to unveil its next-generation top-end Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X series CPUs in the third quarter of 2017, succeeding the existing Broadwell-E series with a price range between NT$15,000-57,000 (US$468-1,780). Intel may debut the two series at Gamescom 2017 in Germany in August.
    At the same time, Intel is ready to announce the full series of its Kaby Lake processors at CES 2017, starting January 4, 2017. Intel already began shipping many of its Kaby Lake-S series processors including Core i7-7700K in December.
    The new Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X processors will feature a new LGA 2066 socket and support DDR4 memory. The CPUs will pair with Intel's new X299 chipsets.
    At CES 2017, Intel is expected to unveil processors including Core i7-7700K/7700, Core i5-7600K/7600/7500, Core i3-7320/7300/7100, Pentium G4620/4500/4560 and Celeron G3950/3930 as well as its low-power models including the Core i7-7700T. Intel's Z270 and H270 chipsets will also make their debut at the show.
