OT : which med to high end laptop without PWM to buy?

    Hi guys,

I need a new laptop definetly without PWM as it hurts my eyes. Or atleast minimum PWM. If you don't know what PWM is please research. I value my eyes above all else.

    I am considering buying
    HP pavilion 15 gaming,
    Y700,
acer 591g(not anymore because of PWM and heat issue)

or any other laptop which has
    1. i5 or i7 6th or 7th gen
    2. SSD + HDD
    3. No ODD (I don't need it, and it's getting old)
    4. 8 - 12 or 16 GB DDR4 RAM, dual slot.
    5. HDMI output, vga non needed
    6. decent sound
    7. Semi good screen (RBG accurate) I know HP sucks there but to my knowledge, atleast - no PWM.
    8. MAX 2.5, 2.6 Kg weight.
    9. 13 or 15 inch 1080p

Can you please suggest something for me?

    All suggestions appreciated.
I need the rig for multimedia, video editing, digital marketing and graphics.

You need to narrow you search. 13 or 15

FFS -have a look in a shop and see what you like - they are not the same size. You will almost find it impossible to buy anything with less than a 1080p screen assuming your budget is over a few hundred .

Then just get a Dell XPS if you can afford it.

I would (probably will) go for a 15" once they do the newer CPU but for now the XPS 13" is probably the best laptop you can get for the price.

Hi man, thanks for your reply. If I could afford it I would probably go with an razer stealth and a core GPU unit. But thats out of budget. Most gaming laptops are not made in the 13 inch size. I love 13 inch, you get a monitor and attach it and thats that when you need comfort.

I need a dedicated GPU so intel apu is out.
Dell xps is a solid laptop I can agree on that. But, id rather go macbook air then, and have a desktop for win applications

I just needed this info because of the PWM issue.
