Windows 10: Need a more powerful PSU. Advice?
Wise advice ... When configuring a Computer build yes you can save a bit (eg) go i5 instead of i7, go 6GB RAM instead of 8GB but your PSU is the one to spend as much as you can on and a branded name
I agree Mike. I own a 1050W EVGA PSU, 2 Corsair HX750's, a Corsair AX 1200i and a Seasonic 1050 X Series. They are all excellent PSUs. EVGA are very good Power Supplies or I wouldn't have bought one.
Alright, I'll return the V1000 and get the GQ. I haven't opened the box yet as I'm waiting for my GPU to come in.
My system specs are below. I guess the available ram is whats needed ? 8 GB total, 7 usable .
I want to try two things :
1. Set up my Browsers, Chrome and Edge, to save their browsing files to the Ram Disk .
2. Run my Drawing application...
I'm currently the proud owner of a 7-year-old (yes, really) Dell Latitude D830 laptop which has 4Gb of memory. Off the top of my head I can't remember the processor speed. It also has a 72Gb hard drive.
At the moment I'm running Windows 7...
I am new to MS Windows, came from Linux and MacOS background.
What is a FREE Anti-Virus program I can run on Windows 10 that is popular and reliable and credible?
Thank you :)
