I never trusted OC Genie myself
It's not my first choice but it's work so far in terms of stability but I'm probably just going to have to read more and keep testing till I get a stable overclock manually.

I use to run an MSI Z77A-G45 with a 3770K, the OC Genie is pure garbage, do not use it.

Just my opinion, and Doug may say differently, but I never considered MSI a good choice for an OCing motherboard, I may have gotten to 5.1 GHz, but it took a lot of effort.

Describe why you think you are getting not so good game performance ? What are the problems ?

I have no problems with a Z77 board, so yours will be somewhat similar. I dont like the genie because it tends to put in high voltages. Just take your time and read through the guide

My CPU seems to be lacking, my idle load is at 40 percent and idle temps are about 40 to 50.

Before I used oc genie my system would have a hard time running newly released games at high or ultra, once I used oc genie it helped my performance. Now playing titanfall 2 if I play for an hour and a lot of things happen in game I get 1-3 second freezes for about a minute and it goes back to normal.

I had started thinking the CPU should just be replaced.

Is there anything I could get test results to see if the processor is operating properly?

You can run Intel Burn Test, Prime 95 etc

    Just google cpu benchmark software.

I`d also run Atto on your Adata ssd and post a snip of the results.

    Disk Benchmark Software | ATTO

    Download ATTO Disk Benchmark 3.05

That test tests the hard drive/SSD not the CPU. To test the CPU try using the Intel Processor Diagnostic Test. Download Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool
