Why you wish to acquire the board makes all the difference. You should assume that all such boards will be non functional. Most problems will have no visible signs.

Older ones have greater percentage of valuable metals like gold and silver if that's what you are looking for. Is old couple of dozen MBs, bunch of GPUs and CPUs few years ago and got 300 Euro for them. Some 386, 486 and Pentium I and II fetched pretty good price, newer ones not so much. Most gold is in old ceramic processors.

First for compatibility with what ever you want to use it for. Before trying it, all you can do is to check for obvious mechanical damage and dark spots. Beyond that, you can't do much.

What you plan on doing with the board is all important and of that you have told us nothing. Details are important.

Currently, i have the Intel Board D945GCCR with processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00Ghz 3.00Ghz with installed 4GB RAM and worst thing is its max RAM capacity is upto 4GB only.Thats why i am buying the second hand motherboard for 5 to 6 months. I want to install linux for my work in VM but for that my base machine should have the 64bit OS. For 64bit OS contains atleast 2GB then remaining 2GB i cannot work with that. So i want the motherboard with integrated GPU,Frequency and Compatibility. And RAM capacity should be more than 4GB atleast max 8GB. So this is for what i am looking. So please suggest me any Board model number it will help me more. Thanks
