    Corsair RM650i Cables

My Corsair RM650i came with these two cables that I believe both are the link connectors that attach to motherboard. With the software I will be able to monitor performance, control fan speed from desktop and toggle single rail or multi rail (whatever that is). It says to use the USB header cable and connect to motherboard and other end to PSU, but the other cable states that IT'S the link connector in the manual?? Huh!?! Plus I don't have any tiny connector on my board. Are these cables used for the same thing? Also, I have 2 USB 2.0 ports on board. One is a 1112 and the other is 1314, which do I connect it to or does it matter? The motherboard (Asus Z170M-E D3) warns not to connect a 1394 cable into one of these ports... is that what this cable is?
    So Confused!!!

Hi. The cable on the left has a usb header which you plug in to the motherboards spare connector and the other end goes into the pump unit. The one on the right provides power to the pump unit. I've found the manual here.
