You are welcome Dude. I'm here for you :)
Never measured, but I don't care. I go to take a leak or to the kitchen for a cup of coffee and by the time I get back, it's started.
LOL, Kari that is SLOW, hahaha! Is it a server with a lot of CPUs and RAM? Or is she just OLD?
But even the low end ASUS' laptops can take ANYTHING you throw at it
My ASUS X54 with a Pentium B960 processor, ran Windows 7 originally, runs 10 better, and just loved the feeling of Debian based operating system.
My first ever SSD I bought was for it, and boot time improved a whole lot, even though I'm one of those that makes little of restart or normal boot time, because the programs that I always use, and that have a system tray icon, I leave turned on, as it saves time later during use. I'll take a boot time hit, for a better work/play flow any day.
I C! So you are secretly saying that I need more RAM (only 8GB here) and better CPU (also i5) for my laptop? ;-)
...LOL...just kidding, I love my Asus U46SV and as long as it works I won't replace it. It's actually quite fast, and got a HUGE boost after I bought an SSD.
Kari, your slow boot time is because of that slow HDD, but I guess you already knew that. My ASUS was terrible at doing any HDD work while using 5400rpm drives.
And I thought my laptop is slow, Kari. I'm surprised yours went even longer.
