    Here's mine.
It's a bit slower then my previous time,
    using the same hardware.
Which doesn't make me very happy.

^ Windows 7 is still the fastest in this regard hehe. I miss those less than 20 seconds restart time

I guess if I went with bare-bones services and managed to shutdown Windows Defender.
There could possibly be a reduced restart time,
but I don't think I could run with that kind of configuration for very long.

Ugh how are you guys fast?

Well, my restart time is here...

    0:00 - Restarting...
0:02 - HP logo in the boot screen
0:06 - The logo disappears (I'm surprised it fades quickly when the boot process ends. In Windows Vista and 7, whenever the boot was done, the boot logo would instantly disappear)
0:07 - I get into the log on screen.
0:12 - It takes me 5 seconds to enter my password.
    0:16 - I'm already on the desktop

Therefore, I need 16 seconds to restart Windows completely. If I restart with auto log on and without pass, it will take me around 11 seconds. With cold restart, it takes me 8 seconds. If I startup Windows after shutting it off (Auto log on and no password, Cold boot included), it takes me around 7 to 5 seconds.

Damn, Windows 10 is really quick in booting. As for the times, it's when my programs are set to not boot at startup. When it's set to do so, it usually takes me 30 seconds.

And yes it's quicker when you compare to Windows 7 boot. Usually it takes 20 seconds for most clean users.

Surprised no? Feel free to believe me or not in terms of the authenticy.

^ You're not doing it right. You are just using Fast Startup feature pretty much.

First one to upload Fall Creator's update restart time. Still the same amount of restart time as 1st Creator's update.
First on this thread, maybe - but I posted my times yesterday :) Not only that, but I compared the times to all previous versions including 10240. Interesting comparison - only 1507 was faster, all the rest were much the same. (Yes, its a slow machine, don't laugh.)

Bear in mind this is a low spec machine. The times are relatively slow, but it is a valid comparison as, other than the OS build, all else is identical - same installed software, settings, hardware, HDD and partition sizes. I note that the vb script uses the shutdown /r command, so this new 'restart apps' feature plays no part in these timings for 1709. Testing a few times for each and taking the fastest time, a full Restart took:

    1507 - 86 seconds
    1511 - 106 seconds
    1607 - 104 seconds
    1703 - 107 seconds
    1709 - 108 seconds
