    I've decided to leave my most used programs on at start up so they're ready when I need'em. I'll take the ding in start up time, for faster opening times.

    Like @Cliff S I have several programs that I run at startup, so this is really great for me and I'm happy with it.

    Those of you who want to have a fast startup AND start a few programs at the same time I recommend to delay the startup of the programs by 10 seconds (or so). That will not interfere with your work and you have the startup programs out of the way.
