    Looking for new laptop

Not sure if this is the right forum

I'm looking for a new laptop, not quite sure what to get, I already have 16GB of laptop DDR3 (not DDR3L) and a 1TB Samsung SSD. So I'm looking for a good laptop with a really amazing screen, good processor (prefer an i5 or i7) and good build quality and looks. The RAM and HDD don't matter, as long as it takes DDR3 and a 2.5" drive.

    Appreciate any recommendations. :)

I have an Alienware M11x R3 1.4ghz dual core i5 1GB GT540M, it's just a bit slow at times and doesn't have the greatest screen. It also gets about 30 minutes battery life, while a new battery costs about $80-100 that I'd rather spend on anew PC.

Asus makes some very good gaming laptops but their customer service is terrible. Whats your price range?

I'm not looking for a gaming laptop, so the GPU doesn't really matter. Though a low end Nvidia card would be nice because of the options with the drivers. But not necessary.
I'm liking the Alienware 13 R2, found one for $600 with an i5, 500GB HDD, 4GB DDR3 RAM and a 3200x1800 touch screen. I have a 1TB Samsung SSD I can swap, and 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 I could swap. But does regular DDR3 work in an Alienware 13 R2?

Price range? Cheaper the better, lol.

    ASUS X550VX-MS71 15.6" Laptop Computer - Glossy Black X550VX-MS71 - Micro Center

    $649.99

ASUS ROG ZX50VW-MS71 15.6" Gaming Laptop Computer - Black ZX50VW-MS71 - Micro Center

    $749.99 also 1920 X1080P resolution better GPU for a $100.00 more

I understand that you don't care for Gaming but this is going off what you said about the Screen pretty much that is the Deal breaker between the two the resolution on the cheaper one is 1366x768
