Build a PC for music production
Hi, i would like to create a PC for music production and a little bit for desktop publishing (not videos editing, just like illustrator, a little bit of photoshop).
I have a budget of 1'500$ without the monitor. I know that i would need a good processor, good motherboard, SSD and 32 Go RAM. the computer should be silent if possible.
Could you help me ? I need to create a components list

I have a (home) recording studio, using Sonar Platinum.
Look over some of the builds on the Cakewalk (Sonar) forum, Computer section. There are several recent posts on recording systems.
If I were to build one today, I would go with a high end I7 CPU, at least 16GB of RAM, an ASRock motherboard, a "Be Quiet" case, 800 watt modular power supply. The ASRock is just my choice of motherboards, I've had Gigabyte, ASUS, Intel and ASRock. The others all failed, but my ASRock keeps going.

I built mine for media production as well.
I went the X99 route, which is overkill for music (but I also used it for video production). Something like a i7-6700 on a either an ASUS or ASRock motherboard inside of a Fractal Design Define R5 (no window) with a Corsair RM series power supply and EVGA graphics card with ACX 2.0 (which should allow you to customize your fan curve to operate in a "fanless" mode below certain temperatures) and using SSDs for storage should allow you to maintain an optimal level of silence to your system. Also, use a Noctua CPU cooler, as they are also fairly silent.
Check out my system spec. When my system is running on fanless and low-RPM modes, it is virtually inaudible. That said, when I need to game hard, I can crank things up and it'll still stay fairly quiet for its power.

the shop where i would like to build my pc recommended me this configuration :
- Intel quad core i7-6700
- Asus Z170-Deluxe
- 2x8 GO DDR4 Corsair vengeance RAM
- Be Quiet Dark Rock TF
- Be Quiet silent base 600
- 600W Be quiet alimentation
- Samsung 850 series 1 TO SSD
- Asus GTX 960-DC2-4GB (because it's possible i would have 2 screens monitors, and i use sometimes the Adobe suite)
- Eizo EV2750W screens X2
So if i understand, it would be better to have a Asrock for the motherboard, like the model ASROCK Z97 OC instead of the Asus Z170-Deluxe. The thing is that i see it support DDR3, not DDR4, so i don't know.
Is a 800W alimentation better than a 600W ?

The choice of motherboard manufacturer is not as important as the model motherboard. I like ASRock, others like Gigabyte, ASUS, etc. Sort of like a Ford or Chevy car.
