Windows 10: The Demand for GPU's 2016-2017
GTX 780TI > GTX 780
GTX 980TI > GTX 980
GTX 980TI > GTX Titan
GTX Titan Black > GTX Titan
GTX Titan Z > GTX Titan Black
And now for 2016, the new king! GTX 1080 > GTX Titan Z, GTX Titan, GTX Titan Black, and GTX 980TI.
If you already had GTX 980TI, than there's no need to upgrade, because the GTX 980TI price = GTX 1080 price.
So upgrading from my GTX 650Ti I may as well go for the GTX 980Ti
But then I have been reading about ASUS STRIX
You will notice major huge performance jump from 650TI to 980TI, and the 980TI can handle 4k really well.
Thank you for the info
Just to let you know, the GTX 900 series have some cool features that you will like. One of them is Dynamic Super Resolution that allows you to enjoy 4k gaming graphics detail on 1080P display.

...is this nvidia thread or something..?
well my older card gtx750ti...about 3 years ago..
but i like more to amd card this day..
im using r7 370 right now..its better from my gtx..way better
reason im not using nvidia , cause the prizes...i can get with low prize on amd with perfomance like on high prize nvidia...
just compare them..u'll see..
I recently used a 380X 4GB it wasn't that impressive i used to run AMD all the time from HD5770-HD6770-HD7970 after i sold the 7970's i went green again i was on the green team back in 08 but when AMD started coming up especially with Phenoms i jumped over now im back lol
Ya, for the original configuration of this Alienware I chose ATI 5870's in crossfire. They were little work horses. When I upgraded video, I chose two ATI 7970. If I remember correctly, I couldn't believe they each took 2.5 slots, not 2. 2.5, you're kidding, I needed slots 1 and 3 for 16x so returned the 7970's and got Nvidia 770's.
I considered 480's in crossfire when upgrading in June. Sorry, not with the state of MGPU gaming (especially DX12) these days. So single GPU for me and decided to go with the performance king at the time, Pascal 1080. Priced high, but no regrets. It actually cost a bit less than what I paid for my two 770's a few years back yet out performs those two cards big time. AMD is fine though on a performance/dollar scale.
I'm late to this conversation but if I were Stephanie or had her configuration, I'd be with Essenbe on this and go with a 1070 rather than Maxwell, simply because there is no question that drivers will be optimized for Pascal for sometime, along with DX12 improvements/support. As a Kepler owner for a long time, I know the pain of driver optimization being focused on newer hardware.
But in the end, gaming, hardware choices is about fun and trying things out. As long as one has looked at all the facts, there is no wrong decision IMHO.
Ha man One HD5770 on 1680 x1050 was killer lol I maxed everything on High Dead Island played like a Boss lol
I sold my HD6770 for like $160.00 it played the crap out of Bioshock Infinite on max settings 1920x1080 lol
After the 7000 series AMD went to hell lol
Hey Guys let me know what you think about my Pricing because i don't think i am happy with going lower than what i posted
Tell me your honest Opinion lol Gawd help me

How to Check for Updates in Office 2016 for Windows
Many of you already knew this could come up where things did seem to back fire in MS faces as to how they have made a change in how they deliver things? A large petition came as a result of how many were seeing 10 go on at least partially as far as...
Hi have tried to install win10 , it downloads ok goes through set up ok, shuts down but when it start up with 4 icons and error code C1900101-20017, Revert a set point, et back to older version, Shut down, Repair, which I tried but returns with...
I just upgraded to Win 10 (RTM build). I have disabled the AV (Defender, why did they go back to the old name?) real time protection because I do not run it, never did and have never gotten a virus (and I've had a computer for 30 years).
Just wondering if anyone else had a Language Pack pending in updates that doesn't actually do anything? Mine's been sitting here for over 24 hours now and doesn't download, it's not a problem as I don't really care for the update but 1) I don't know...
