Something I have noticed about overclocking:
After using my latest OC of CPU Freq @4.925FGHz and Ring Ratio @4.623GHz, RAM @3.015GHz, for a week or so, ALL my benchmark scores have had a pretty big drop.
For example, when I first applied the above, I got a 7516, I just ran it, to test the OC's stability(Using the Benchmark profile, that turns off C-State and EIST, but leaves Turbo Boost on, which is needed to receive a CPU score in Performance test, otherwise it will run but not give a score), this time I only received this:
    Attachment 120905

I'm beginning to believe, that an OC will settle in after a while, and Windows makes adjustments, like when WinSAT formal is run, no matter what you set your power option to, for a more stable system. Or maybe my BIOS does it to.

Oh well, for now I have reached the maximum stable OC for my CPU running on heatsink fans, sooooo...
I guess I'll run it in 24/7 mode(EIST on, C-State Auto, CPU Mode set back to Dynamic, and Vcore set to adaptive) run it another week, then see if I can drop the voltage a little. Maybe I can use this "settling in" to my advantage

I'd be curious on any feedback from you long time overclockers, if you have ever noticed a "settling in".
Your Cache Ratio might be the issue people say it doesn't do anything but yet it does if you boost it to 47 instead of 46 it should help it

I noticed you can be with in 100mhz but don't match it at 4.9ghz your cache ratio should be 47 to compensate for such a high OC

Right now i am at 4.8Ghz with a cache ratio of 46 basically 200mhz below

with a 1080 most of the time core speed will only do +125 max but Mem might be able to go +800 but realistically what i found is the 1080 is temperamental so what that means is it will act fine between +125 core or below but Mem max is around +800 anything above it will degrade the score this is what i have noticed

Nice job man! Crushed my score! I guess if u keep the card cool enough, Ull be good. Unfortunately my power limit only goes up to 111%. So I think that is restricting me a lot. What was your fan speed?

I'll have my 1080's in about a month, looking forward to it. Also I think it would be great if there was an additional list for Cpu scores. For many of us, the Cpu is our lifeblood and far more important than the Gpu

I'll give it a shot when I get home from work, thanks.

Ok Tommy, I gave it a shot(jacked cpu cache up to 47x, but on Time Spy it freezes the system on the CPU portion.
Firestrike ran all the way through, but, still a way lower score than my first run though.
I just ran CPU Mark, in Performance test, to see if that would freeze too, but it didn't
While in the shower, I'll run the complete Performance Test, and see what I get/what happens.

Well pasmark ran through no problem, I don't know what is causing the freeze in Time Spy. I'll go back to my 24/7 settings for now.
