Changing T1 to 2 or other way around from XMP/SPD specified can only make performance worse.
I have always found ram to be by far the most finicky thing to nail down when overclocked. Most especially when you exceed xmp speeds.
I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss changing t from 1 to 2 to stabilize it at a much higher speed. Or if at much tighter timings. Ram is a game of try and test. Over and over and over😁
