Nice, benchmarks are really fun, but gaming is where the real fun is
Couldn't agree more. That I7 7700K and Asus 1440P monitor you have are meant for 1080 TI gaming. You would love it and can't think of anyone who would appreciate it more.

Volta Q2 2018 maybe and even a longer wait for Volta TI. Give the 1070 to a loved one. No better excuse to upgrade. :)

Figured I would try to get to essenbe's 10735 graphic score.

Dude: A 10763 graphic score with an overall 9544 Time Spy score.

Thank you, worf. Not a couple of missing points, a couple of missing cores.

Slippery, if he's listening to this, was doubting MSI AB/RTSS was causing my constant Time Measurement Data Not Available message I was getting running 3D Mark, as the Futuremark software techs suggested. Notice System Info Monitoring is ON in this Valid run.

My system wasn't even always shutting down properly in the last week. When I started looking for causes and saw that Corsair Link (4.8's) was conflicting with Corsair CUE I said to myself, huh, you know I never had Time Spy/Firestrike issues before 4.8 Corsair Link. Went back to 4.5.0.55, ran 3 Timespy and Firestrike at stock with AB/RTSS. Futuremark System Info monitoring fully enabled and every 3D Mark run was valid.

We have Corsair software engineers who code in such a way that if you run two of their software offerings (Link + CUE) at the same time it can almost shut down your system. Then we have Futuremark software engineers who can babble for hours about how AB's RTSS is causing the Time Measurement Data Not Available message issue when in fact it's not, at least in my case.

In my retirement I have been thinking about maybe a part time job (10-20 hours per week) working from home. Look out Microsoft, Google and the rest as I'm about to apply stating I'm fully qualified to handle tech support (well at least based on what I see at Corsair, Futuremark, etc. being wrong 50%+ of the time).

Ah, no worries, Microsoft . Lucky for you, my nieces and nephews keep me very busy.

Thanks dude. I'm assuming you're still "above water". Saw that some counties have no more clean water and it's about 92F.

Also saw a video where a wife was looking/filming her back yard. The water was just over the fence and two alligators were swimming in her back yard. .

No alligators, poison snakes in a country that gets down to -30C in winter. .

Take care of yourself, my friend.

Good to hear, dude. Look what Harvey is doing to Montreal because of "Texas refinery shut downs".

    Time Spy - DirectX 12 benchmark test-harvey.png

That's about $4.12 US dollars per US gallon.

Canada has the third largest oil reserves, behind only Venezuela and Saudi Arabia. We have our own refineries but they are saying many are shut down for "fall maintenance". Say what? And the ones running are asking higher prices. Yes, no doubt.

I heard the governor of Texas say "we don't have gas shortages". What's the gas price in Texas, about $2.54 per gallon?

We have different kinds of "alligators" in this province/country.
