I just got this card yesterday. After a little playing I still don't understand Pascal any more than I did before. This is just no fun anymore.

While you're complaining let me say congrats on the FTW 3, that 10735 graphic score,, and currently being the only member hitting 10K plus in Time Spy without a Titan.

Yes, I'm not sure the high end AIB 1080TI's have much left in them after their stock clocks. I think it was Nvidia's CEO who stated expect 2000MHZ from them "with tinkering".

Still, I'm waiting for you (Obi Wan) to become the Pascal expert quickly, and tell us everything you learn about offsets, curves, VF curves and anything else.

It's looking good, you currently have the clock at the 2038 range as expected from the reviews, and congrats again. :)

Great job essenbe. Best scoring 1080ti in our group.

Thank you guys. I appreciate it. However, I still couldn't tell you how it got there, other than a 6 core CPU. The clock was at 2038, but just not for very long unfortunately. It stayed at 2025 most of the time. I can assure you a Pascal expert I will never be. I understand it less now than I did before I got it.

I can say, I know how Worf feels. I got it to 9998. Those last 2 points were harder to get that the first 9000. I'm going to have to clean this room up. I've thrown everything that wasn't nailed down.

@worf105, Thanks but I think we both know which card is best. I have no doubts you will pass me quite soon. Thanks again, my friend.

Cheers essenbe. Been trying hard to gain 10k. Working on my RAM speed and timings just now.

Yep, typical Pascal, where you see a top clock for a few seconds and then it drops, in multiples of 17 I think until it likes the temps. Did you use AB or XOC? Some in XOC get better results setting the curve themselves in basic mode, some in manual mode run that (furmark looking) test where the curve is plotted just before crashes. Some like using K Boost.

BTW, what FPS numbers are you getting in SGW3 with that puppy? I guess Lidia (Lydia) and Red will only be smiling at you and Worf now.

@specialkone, I used both actually. I have had problems with XOC so started with AB. I go to a wall I couldn't break through so switched to XOC. Honestly, I have never tried the curve. I'm just too old fashioned for that, I guess. Bu anyway, XOC took me the rest of the way. It seems that AB can only control 1 fan. The other 2 run on the default curves, I'm guessing. The fans are real quiet. Even at 80%-90% you can hear them, but hear air moving more than the fans. I did think of using K boost, but never had any luck at all with it before. It may work on Pascal, something needs to.

The cards themselves are a beast. It scored 10.2+ graphics in Time Spy out of the box, nothing changed. That shows how little I actually overclocked it. But, at stock I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to FPS in SGW, but the times I did look it was running 147 or so. I only played for about 30 minutes to take a break from benches.

Steve, fromk what I have gathered, the Ti's don't clock as high on the core as a regular 1080 OC card, but... the have waaaaay more & faster memory, maybe that'll help.

I mean I can this is what I can get running the render test in GPU-Z:
