I'm thinking very seriously about selling the 6950X, and going with a 5820k again. They clock pretty high, even for daily use, and still have some extra cores for when DX12 multicore enhancements become more prevalent in games. I've already got a buyer lined up for the big dog, should I decide to go ahead and do it.
Well how much is the resale on a $1200 CPU lol

it should last you for 4 years at least but if you can get money back and get away with a system just as powerful i would but just fyi it will not feel the same

Fo some reason, the benchmark just keeps crashing at the exact same spot every time regardless of settings. So idk what's up. I reinstalled with no success.

That's all it's got. Lol. By ocing my CPU to 4.8, I had to downclock the gpu memory 40mhz. Adding another 5mhz to the core causes more crashing.

I keep getting this also so I looked in the event viewer under system and found "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." each time I was running Timespy. matching the time stamps and looking through the application logs I keep finding

    Problem signature:
    P1: CorsairLink4.Service.exe
    P2: 4.3.0.154
    P3: 57c697f6
    P4: StackHash_2beb
    P5: 0.0.0.0
    P6: 00000000
    P7: PCH_B3_FROM_ntdll+0x0006EB8C
    P8: c0000005
    P9: 00000008
    P10:

Looks as if its a driver conflict between Corsair Link and nVidia of sorts. Any ideas?

I wouldn't know. I don't have corsair link installed. I installed it when I bought the cooler, set the LED color and uninstalled and disconnected the USB cable.

I control the fans with Mobo and pump is set to quiet and powered 100% by the Mobo.
