its a good cpu for basic tasks but with locked multiplayer. I had one before the upgrade to Athlon x4 860k (a A10-6800K cpu that you are going to buy but with onboard graphics disabled) .

That's what I feel.. the A4 is a very good basic processor but I really could use a quad core, the A8-6600K is going to be what I get for budget reasons. It's so close to the A10 and I can save about 25$ at the same time.

You could save even more if you have a discrete GPU. You could have get the 860k I have. This is an A10 CPU with graphics disabled. The 860k has the same performance with a10 CPUs (maybe more) but without graphics. and all that at 75 euros.Thats the price of 860k here in Greece. In A10 CPU you pay the onboard gpu the chip has, that you dont need it if you have a discrete gpu.

But A10-6800K is not bad choice at all, as an upgrade to A4 4000 you already have.

I have muti-monitors set up. But the HD TV will not except overclocking. It just keeps crashing. But the smaller ones I have no problem doing a 4+overclock.

Not really an overclock but rather a turbo mode.

It sure was, but those times are pretty much over now, for me anyway.

As far as those extreme overclocks are concerned I am with you there.

I won't be frying any CPU's again lol
