    Windows errors/performance issues


    WHats up guys? so ive been having this issue where im getting these 2 errors in event viewer and can not figure out why or how to fix them. there are usually 8 kernel power ones and 4 ACPI ones.

    Try a bios update. Is this an Intel laptop, if so try disabling speedstep and see if the error goes away

    ive updated/downgraded bios versions and still same issues. it is a laptop, so i dont really want to disable speedstep. i need the CPU to scale frequencies.

    I understand you don't want to disable it, but I think that is causing the error. Just try and see if it goes away when disabled. If not we can keep troubleshooting. Are the chipset drivers up to date?

    ill give it a shot. and yes everything is up to date. did it all last night.

    just disabled it and still getting both errors still. 4 ACPI errors and 8 of the kernel power errors for each thread/core.
