Whats a Good, Affordable Motherboard for i5?

I'm going to build a gaming desktop and need your help. So far I'm going to buy the Intel i5 6600K with LGA 1151 socket and Nvidia 970. I need to know what's a good but very affordable motherboard for this. Do let me know. Appreciate it.

I like Gigabyte brand motherboards and usually you can find a nice one for about 60$. Do you need a micro ATX or full ATX??

Hi.. I need full ATX. Here are 3 that I found:

MSI MSI Gaming H170A Gaming Pro LGA 1151 Intel H170 HDMI SATA 6Gbs USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard - Newegg.com

MSI MSI Gaming B150 Gaming M3 LGA 1151 Intel B150 HDMI SATA 6Gbs USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard - Newegg.com

    MSI Z170-A PRO LGA 1151 Intel Z170 SATA 6Gbs USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard - Newegg.com

The last one which is the cheapest in price has issues fitting some ram based on a few reviewers on Newegg.

I need a mb for an i5 6600K 3.5Ghz and Nvidia 970. Of course, I need it with HDMI and at least 3 3.0 USB ports. But let me know which is best for me. If you have a better suggestion if its MSI or not, let me know too. Keep in kind I'm on a budget. Thanks.

If you are getting a "K" processor than only third MB can overclock it and give you performance for your money.

The 3rd one listed in my post? Ok no problem.

Check out this Asus mb. Let me know which you think is best, either the 3rd one that we referenced or this one linked below:

MSI seems to be richer than that Asus but has only PCIe slots.

You might have a look at this board......I have been running it for 5 months now, it has proven to be a very solid performer......The BIOS is feature rich and easy to navigate....

Hi kipper. The Asrock you linked has issues with Win 7 (which I wont install, but still). A few reviewers had issues overclocking it. Theres audio issues and no 3.1. And since I don't got an optical drive, updating the LAN drivers may be very difficult for me.

It may be that a BIOS update fixes things. But not sure it fixes everything.

As for the Asus that I linked (linked below also), I may get it. The only issue I got with it is you need a DVD drive to update drivers. I don't have nor plan to buy one.

But let me know what you think of this Asus mb. Looking forward to your reply.

Actually ASUS boards have always been good to me.......This new board looks like it will fill your requirements......

I actually bought my system components for a build for a friend who later backed out of the deal.....and as I said it has been a very good board so far but my next board will come from the ASUS lineup.....

Sorry I missed you wanted to make sure your new board had 3.1 but as for driver installs on the ASRock board you can install the LAN driver via USB and then use their Driver update utility to get the rest of the board drivers........

As I said before a reviewer of that Asrock mb couldn't install updates via USB. The only way he was able to was via an optical drive. And I'm not in the budget to buy an optical drive.
