    Yes, thanks for the advice!

AMD ZEN? I will have to do some research on that.

Upgraded in January 2016 from AMD A6-3620 Quad Core with Radeon 6530D video to AMD FX 8310 8 Core Processor, AM3+, Asus OEM Desktop, M52BC_M32BC01, 8gb of DDR 3 1600mhz ram, Radeon R7 240 2gb video card, 2tb Toshiba hard drive (upgrading that when I can to Western Digital or Seagate model or SSD perhaps), and Video upgrade after power supply upgrade later on. Otherwise works perfectly for my needs

First Upgrade I'm Getting soon as possible though is Windows 10 Pro upgrade from Home, 8.1 Core was preinstalled, so getting Pro before the deadline in July

Old System had Windows 10 Pro upgraded in July 29th 2015, that had my media center key in though, so that one got Pro, couldn't transfer it, so now have to spend $99.00 to get Pro for this one soon

Mine are actually AMD CPUs with add-in PCIe x16 cards by Sapphire using ATI Radeon chips [ATI is now owned by AMD]. Or in other words, the poll should have included those not using onboard video adapters.

Thanks for that, would you like me to add? Any specifics?

    This would be $60 cheaper:
Amazon.com: Windows 7 Professional SP1 64bit (OEM) System Builder DVD 1 Pack (For Refurbished PC Installation): Software

If you select the 32-bit option. Product key is the same for 32 or 64 bit.

Change the existing Windows 10 product key to the generic Windows 10 Pro product key - you'll get the upgrade to Pro, but it will not be activated. Change the product key to Windows 7 Pro product key and it should activate. At the very worst of circumstances you'll have to make an empty partition about 30GB to install the Windows 7 Pro on and activate it. Then capture the genuineticket.xml file, and copy that to Windows 10 to activate the Windows 10 Pro. Then delete the Windows 7 partition.

Thanks!!, will so check into that asap here, Saving money always a good thing for sure. I have version 1511 of Windows 10 Home right now so possibly can just enter Windows 7 Pro Key after going Generic, and should activate once I get this software bought.

Intel Core i7 3720QM + NVidea Quatro K1000M. I've been an Intel + NVidea guy for my entire IT career. One of my coworkers is a AMD only guy. I won't lie, the AMD FX series processors have me really interested. I'm waiting for a Thinkpad to come out with the AMD FX 12 core processor in it then I will grab one and see how it compares to my Quad i7.

I plan to build a inexpensive custom machine soon for home media and light gaming and I will be going AMD for the first time over Intel.
