I always build my own PC. It just assures me that if anything goes wrong it's generally my fault :)

I'm well overdue for an upgrade though
Aside from a good argument for an upgradable custom build in general...........You must be taxing that build or maybe a serial upgrader looking for multiple d/GPU that's a hard one to shake (trust me going pack to the 90's ) but not so much now in my dotage (retired) just a little here and there like 3 decent new TV's up to 4K HDR here in my cave in 3 yrs and a legendary Samsung 64f8500 1080p Plasma out front I would love to see at 4K HDR .:)......

an OC Core i7-2600K @4200Mhz ain't no slouch at all ......we are gaming on a stock locked Core i7 2600 on air and it ain't usually geting taxed with a single GTX 970 d/GPU at 1080p Ultra

As for multiple GPUs I'm just not interested at all. I know a couple of guys running dual GTX 980s and all they ever do is whine about the problems they have with the lack of profiles etc.
Yes I used to be a serial upgrader but the only thing I've got recently was a EVGA 970 SC last Christmas. Thing is this system has been so good from day 1 that I've had very little interest in upgrading as it seems to take everything I throw at it :)

I may regret the above statement, likely as not my CPU or mobo will go down next week :)

My ambient temp is usually a little better than today, Cpu usually idles around 30*C with the cores averaging about 25*C. Hottest I've ever seen it gaming was about 65*C, and AIDA64 will get it to upper 60's. This is a modest overclock atm, 4.2Ghz at 1.15V, with the Gpu at stock voltage at 1359Mhz. Highest temps I ever see are about 65*C on the Cpu and 74*C on the Gpu. Btw this is with a H80i AIO cooler.

Edit: Here's a better example, this is after idling for ten minutes not doing anything at all.

Yes, it has many features but it's not free. As I rarely restart or shut computer down, I keep this test version. Every time computer restarts I have to wait 5 seconds and than click on a number it tells me to, that's only difference from registered version.
