    Two more tips

    Run in diagnostic mode. And kill ( end task ) Windows explorer in task manager under Processes.

    After run just ctrl alt del to bring up task manager, under file tab hit run new process and enter explorer.exe and hit enter and desktop is back.

    What the heck, one more...

    If you have lots of ram create a ram disk and run real bench from that drive.
