DDR4 channels question
I need some information about DDR4 memory.
Memory channel - dual. Does that mean it's better to buy 2x 4GB for better performance, or I can buy 1x 8GB and it will be the same quality, performance and etc.?

2 sticks 4GB of ram:
- Will allow you to do Dual Channel, even though the gains for dual channel are not that impressive.
- Can upgrade to a maximum of 16 GB (4x4), which is plenty for regular usage.
1 stick of ram:
- You will be able to upgrade to 16 GB if you add an extra one, and 32 if you fill the four slots. although I would recommend memory packs, not different batches of ram.
- You don't have dual channel
Personally, I would do 2 x 4GB, 2 x 8 or 4 x 4GB, but that's just me. All ram slots filled looks better if you care about that.
if your motherboard and cpu support it your better off going 4 sticks and running quad channel
