    Building my first gaming pc


    I am getting ready to order parts to build my first gaming rig on monday. I have a budget of $950 to do this on. I have some parts in this pc that i will reuse to save money these are the parts i have System Build - PCPartPicker. And these are the parts i'm thinking about buying Intel Core i5-4690K, EVGA GeForce GTX 960, Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) - System Build - PCPartPicker. Games that i would play are Fallout 4 The Witcher 3 GTA V and similar titles. So how does the build look this will be my first time building and just want to make sure i get something that will last me. I'm open to any ideas on this build but an os needs to be included in the budget. Thanks.

    Hi Xiusho Just wondering what PSU you will be using (cheep ones are not worth buying, Go for a branded one) as the PSU is the heart of your rig :)

    I have it listed in the parts i'm going to reuse. It's an EVGA 600B.

    You may need to consider a new PSU and maybe a few more Watts, but good luck with your build, its exciting :)

    Is the PSU i have now good enough to use for a month or two? With the parts i have picked out right now i'm real close to my budget limit. I'm not sure i can afford a better PSU right now without changing the build.

    Myself I would say yeah - but I would wait say a month (to save a bit more money) and then build with a new PSU :)

    Ok what kind of PSU would you recommend to get? I will see if i can fit it into my budget.

    Looking at the compatible PSUs to your GPU I would go for > Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (RM750) - PCPartPicker, I use a Corsair and have no complaints :)

    But remember this is only my opinion :)

    Well looks like the only way i could do that is to not get the OS right now. Does windows 10 have a free 30 day trial like 7 does? If not i'm not sure what i will do.
