How do I configure UEFI so DVD drive is primary boot device? Cosmos IV

Hi, just received my first custom laptop from PC Specialist, UK.

Am unfamiliar with UEFI and want to configure the DVD drive as primary boot for disk imaging etc.
However I can't see it listed in the bootable devices.

PC Specialist doesn't seem to provide any documentation or tutorial on this.

Options in boot devices are
- Samsung SSD (well, that must be what it is..)
- IP4 Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller
- IP6 Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller

Nothing about the DVD drive or USB devices...

(The DVD drive is working)

Thanks.. high res screen, 256Gb SSD (high speed); 1Tb drive, Nvidia card, 8Gb good RAM. Boots up to desktop in 15s or so - albeit without anything installed yet... Not top of the range by a long way.. but way better than one that's suddenly powering off intermittently.

No, I noted it's off.. I'll check again.
It's off, and the text implies CSM is on (Compatibility Support Module - needed to support booting from USB or DVD devices).

Thanks, it's much less obvious... and the tech guy I eventually got thru to didn't know it wasn't included in the neat glossy book with the PC.

Reboot, repeatedly hit F7 to get the possible boot options.

I listed them, but he didn't recognise the one that he eventually decided was the DVD/RW drive.

He was surprised this info wasn't available to users....and said they needed to look at making it so.

I thought it was just me and not having met UEFI before..
