I just heard from Micro Center. They said they will assemble the parts I buy from them, test the system, update drivers, install Win 10 pro with a 30 day warranty on labor and parts are the manufacturer's warranty. They return the media to me. I guess I would only have to install my Office 2010 if possible and update my printer drivers. Cost is $ 140.
    What do you think?
    Peter.
    Hi Peter,
I had a number of more like $200 in mind, so I think that $140 a good deal, and I would take them up on it! :)

@maranna, That sounds like a good price to me. The work involved is well worth that.

    >>Thank you for the confirmation. I really wanted to do it but this is the right thing to do.
After building my house, wiring plumbing and over hauling engines I wanted to get into this but age and health are in the way and undermine my confidence. Acceptance.

The CPU has Hyperthreading. I am not sure what you mean about Legacy unless you mean a Legacy or UEFI BIOS. If that is what you mean it is the Motherboard.

I believe in your list you have the i7-6600K as socket 1150 but it is a socket 1151. The socket on the CPU and Motherboard have to be the same, which I believe you have.

Thank you for the correction and I made the adjustment in both my notes an the post.
I am off to PCPartsPicker to check the rest for compatibility as I chose these from Micro center.

    >It was pointed out that my CPU cooler would not fit in the case and that with my RAM the door would not close.

I found the Corsair Obsidian 750 D Airflow Edition Full for $ 139.00. Would this be OK with my current CPU cooler and the RAM I have.

Cooler Master V8 is quite humongous, and can often block ram slots unless you have low profile ram. Why not consider the Cooler Master EVO Hyper 212 EVO? It's cheaper as well, but has simpler aesthetics of course.

The Corsair 750D Airflow is great but quite a huge case, it's full tower. That's my personal preference but yuou might want to consider that aspect before you go for it.

Regarding motherboard, I believe the difference between the Hero and Deluxe is integrated bluetooth and Wifi and Hero can only do sli. You could save some money by going with the Hero, and if you really need Wifi connect a USB WIFI Dongle at the back.

Your ram will be DDR4, not DDR3. I would recommend 2400, 2666 or 2800, but there's not much difference in day-to-day use if you're not an editor.

Onboard video is your CPU, not the motherboard, both Hero and Deluxe have HDMI and Display Ports. The i5 has integrated graphics.
