    Asus micro atx H81m 1150

My daughter will be given a pc with an Asus micro atx H81m 1150 motherboard she mainly plays sims type games....sims4 at the moment..

the motherboard cant be changed, but need to spec it up so you can play her sims4 and also future proof it a bit.....as charap as possible....

Wonder if anyone could suggest graphic card cpu, for this.....already decided on 8G ram only taked DDR3 as I understand it, hopefully this isnt too limiting.....going to have windows 10 64 bit installed

    thanks in advance

no cpu yet, would prefer amd but think this board only takes pentium i think......also the case is a micro tower which only takes half height cards or so,imbeleive..

    thanks

With that motherboard you can only use and Intel brand processor. I would think you can easily get a nice I3 that would deliver some nice graphic resolution for a decent price.

Not very accomplished at matching components etc, so need some specific advice on cpu and graphic card ( low profile i think ) to give good performance with sims 4 plus a bit of future proofing
    thanks

    update....
looks like this graphic card being proposed
    • Graphics: PNY NVIDIA GT160
    • Processor: Intel Core i3-4170 Processor 3.70 GHz

cant see how this is up to sims4 or in the way of future proofing

    comments please

First step would be going to Asus website and look for the cpu support list, there are a lot of them to choose from, it really depends on your budget.

The most cost effective solution would be a pentium g3258 and then you could actually overclock it in that motherboard...but if you lack the knowledge to do so just buy the best core I5 cpu you can afford.

Pretty much any pcie card you can buy today is compatible, it all comes down to budget, normally a pentium build goes together nicely with something like a GTX 750 or a GTX950.

You can find some UK based online community that will make you the best cost efective solution for your build, hook you up with the best online deals so probably something you should look for.

I am now looking at a GTX 750ti not too xpensive and scores well in passmark...amazon £106
the CPU is a pain, as I generally go for AMD for value V perormance, but I7 is out of my budget....so will be I5, just got to determine best value / performance I5

    thanks
