jnstalled heaven benchmark tool, but precision X has the option to chose a benchmarking program to launch from the test button, but as heaven runs as a batch file I am unable to do this....unless I can create an .exe file to launch the batch file, but I dont know how to... Tried again with an OC and managed to get the GPU clock up to 60 gain, sometimes 65 but then crashed witha n error code 7 if I trid higher, temperature did not exceed 70oC so now ill slowly increase MEM clock.....found the light blue radial for the GPU clock does increase as the OC scanner is run....with 65 gain it just goes into the red flag area, so I guess that will be the limit, unless I increase voltage, not sure how much is safe, dont want to reduce the lifespan pf my GPU

The test on Precision X is for OC Scanner only. Do your overclock on Precision X, the run heaven and when it starts moving, click the Benchmark button in the top right. On the first page set the Presets for extreme.

Bit confused I set the OC settings in Precision X which gave a reasonable benchmark in the OC scanner....when I played fallout 4 i left the precision X details on top to view, the MEM clock figure seemed rather high at 3000 !!! so i reset Precision X to default settings...both gains at zero, then reran fallout 4 and the displayed clock rates were the same......dont understand this....

Link the GPU Clock and the temp target. Download GPUz ( http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ ) and post a screenshot of both tabs. After you made the changes, did you click Apply?

    Hi
I tried the heaven benchmark tool.....ran for a very long time, had to stop it and go back to EVGA OC scanner...
but still confused....I attach 3 OC scans one has default settings zero gain another with 50 GPU clock gain and then with 60 GPU clock gain ( all with ZERO in mem clock ) with the respective benchmark results, the latter two pushd the GPU clock up to the red pointer, does this mean I cant gain anymore and no point increasing mem clock ?.....again with any serring default zero or otherwise the game shows the same clock speeds and 3000+mem clock can this be correct ?

At stock, your base GPU clock should be around 1072, your Boost clock around 1137, and your memory should show as about 3000.
On the GPU screen, next to Bus interface, click the question mark, and see if your bus interface numbers change any.

the bottom row of numbers stayed the sMe during the render....

precision x and gpu-z seem to disagree...( beginning to wish I had strted with OC )

the top row says GPU clock then below it default clock, but this is still the GPU clock should it not sy default GPU clock ? and the boost window has teo boxes is the lower one default boost ??? which dowsnt make sense ...
I ran the game in the background and show gpu-z and precision x together...the GPU figures are different....also the precision x does not display mem clock....plus although precision x showed 3000+ on the game screen it doesnt seem to display this figure on the dashboard and gpu-z certainly didnt show 3000+ in the window pane.......feel like giving up....too many questions and seems to get more confusing with each step

I wasn't concerned about the GPU or memory clock. I wanted to know about the bus interface. The GPU clock speeds are about right, Precision X does not show the memory clock, but from GPUz you can double the stated memory clock and will get very close to what is showing in your output (3000).

Maybe someone else can explain the process to you better than I can. Just remember, overclocking can be dangerous under the best circumstances.
