Yup, the guys over at Overclocker said that the H55 is pretty crappy.

All these things I wish I had researched before buying them... Anyway, I'm thinking I may just upgrade my motherboard instead of my GPU this Christmas. Maybe. I have some other things I'd like to get and now after looking into good coolers.. man, those get really expensive!

Question: I'm running a 500w PSU. Will that be a problem with voltage in the future?

You should be fine with your current rig. It could be an issue later when you upgrade your Graphics card. Depending on which card you pick.
