    Need help upgrading my PC


    1- I want to buy new budget graphic card that support directx 12.
    2- do you think I need to upgrade something else ( your thoughts please)

    System Spec

    Computer type:PC/Desktop
    OS: win10
    CPU:i-7 2600k @3.4 ghz
    Motherboard: z68xp-udp
    Memory:corsair 8 gb ddr3
    Graphics Card(s):
    HD 6970
    Hard disk:
    samsung SSD 840 pro

    How much data on and what size of SSD?

    500 GB and I usually fill 2/3 with games I do have extra 2 TB HD I didnt mention for data and some other games.

    OK - I only asked because I suspected you had alot of data/program GB and you don't to fill an SSD up too far before it begins impacting performance - it may be 2/3 full is about the limit you want to go and consider moving some of the data files purposely to the 2TB HDD to limit writing to a reasonable level on the SSD.

    That was my only reason for stopping by and sorry I can't be of much use on the graphics card subject, especially in a gaming context.

    At the very least, you get another bump to the top of queue from my response.:)

    The question is whether it is worth investing $ into a system with a fairly old motherboard, for the one you have there are probably no Windows 10 updates or even recent BIOS updates. If you upgrade your motherboard though, it will likely also mean a cpu upgrade as well.

    Word man I am considering moving more games to my HD.
    Gary nice price but how big upgrade its to my HD6970?
    Kanata I don't want to take that route because it will mean more spending.
